The fourth annual convention of the ET&WNC Railroad Historical Society was held in Boone, North Carolina headquartered at the Boone Econolodge. John Waite and I did some exploring on our own at the old Cranberry Furnace site in Johnson City, the Sand Spur out close to Bemberg, and the convention right-of-way tour visited the Cranberry Mine again.
