Cranberry Iron Mine Interior
Not much to see here, but for folks who are skittish about going in an iron mine, it's not the small, claustrophobic place that you might imagine. It's not a cave, it's a working mine. It needed to be pretty big, for if it couldn't accomodate a truck, then they couldn't get to it. Because of the high iron content all of the rock in here is magnetic. It makes a compass useless, but since the main mine shaft is actually just a flat road back up into the mountain, then you really can't get lost. Just don't run out of batteries. |
