Cranberry Furnace Building in Johnson City

This brick building is the only structure remaining of the Cranberry Iron Furnace in Johnson City. It was the blacksmith/grinding shop. The main part of the furnace, the stock house, the boilers and the cast house were all to the right. The tracks came in from from the right side, parallel to the building. It has been added-on to over the years, but I went up in the attic, and the main building looks original. Owned at one time by Tenneline Corp., it is now part of a gasoline company. Note all the old gas pumps along the fence.
