Abandoned Equipment at the Cranberry Iron Mine

There were scrap pieces of equipment left all around the Cranberry Mine when the 60s operation went out of business. Bulldozers, trucks, conveyors, hoppers, all kinds of machinery, most of it inoperable and left where it stopped. This seemed to be a crane on bulldozer type treads with its steel cable dropped down into an access hole in the mine. All this was scrapped in the spring of 1997 by Elizabethton Herb and Metal. Wish I could have seen what all they pulled out of this area.
