Boone again hosted the ninth annual convention of the at the Boone Econolodge. The double-header of the ET&WNC number 12 and the Y&WP number 190 was the highlight of the visit to Tweetsie Railroad for the conventioneers. I got down to Jonesboro to photograph the original survey map of the ET&WNC from Hampton to Cranberry, hand-drawn in 1879 by Chief Engineer Thomas Matson.
