Hillside Above Cranberry Iron Mine

Jerry just had to try the "heft" of a 14 foot long drill bit we found on the hillside. It wasn't terribly heavy, but it was 14 feet of octagonal steel all the same. It seemed unusually long for a hammer-drill bit that would have been used at a mine, but what do I know? I suspect it was left over from the the 1960s operation, but would entertain other ideas.
