Banjo Branch In The Toe River Gorge

The snow really highlighted the old Linville River Ry right-of-way. This is the site of the bridge at Banjo Branch, now a creek crossing on a private drive down to some residences. This area is still very wild and really beautiful in the snow. A trip on the old road from Newland to Minneapolis makes for a nice diversion.
