Deck Bridge Stone Abutment and Pier

Another view from a different vantage point... standing on the old highway bridge. The highway bridge is kinda scary, with only a couple of feet of walking room in places. It's hard to believe that it's still standing after all the damage and floods that it's been through. I suspect that the concrete encased water main (no longer used) that runs across it is contributing to its tenuous continued survival.
