Abutments and Piers At Tunnel 1

Looking east across the Doe River, you can actually see the entrance to Tunnel 1 because of all the clearing. Being wintertime didn't hurt either. The stone pier on this side of the river is easily accessible now. There's a great story with lots of photos and a scale drawing of this bridge in the Fall/Winter 2004 issue of the "Stemwinder".
