Linville Depot in Newland

The old depot is getting better and better with each passing day. The siding really helped with the look. Since there aren't any Chestnut trees any more for their bark, I think this is Poplar. It looks very similar and should weather well. Jerry Turbyfill did a magnificent job on the windows. And wait till you see the door in next year's photos.

You can now see where this structure is sited, right behind the Avery County Museum and next door to the Avery County Courthouse.
