Blevins Bridge

The newly painted steel thru truss bridge at Blevins really jumps out of the nearby scenery. This bridge was a second-hand standard gauge bridge when the ET&WNC Railroad bought it to replace one of the washed-out wood bridges in the Doe River Gorge after the flood of 1901. The 3 steel bridges in the Gorge area were all "used" standard gauge bridges.
