Carolina & North-Western Depot at Edgemont, North Carolina

On the outskirts of Edgemont, this depot is now a personal residence. It was opened up to us for a quick tour. It's in the same general area as when it served the railroad, but has been moved back a little ways from where it was originally. There's a baggage house on the property that was built with this depot, but the baggage structure was not moved. The depot now has 2 different sidings, the other end being horizontal lap siding. We learned that the entire depot was originally covered in that staggered shingle siding that's on this end. The present owner of many years did all the custom rock work around the foundation and porch. More photos follow.
