Doe River Gorge
Speaking of rock colors, this is looking up at Hanging Rock. Looks like these rocks have turned blacker on the top and sides as they have aged, that they were originally yellow when first exposed judging from how the bottoms look. It's kind of hard sometime to tell what's been blasted and what has been exposed rock for ages. Most of the rock face at Pardee Point is natural and looked that way before the ET&WNC came in. Except for some places with drill holes, it's hard to tell where the new starts and the old stops. |
