Doe River Gorge

Another world exists through that tunnel. That's tunnel 2 at the Doe River Gorge. If you haven't experienced it, you wouldn't believe the difference between the climate on this side of the portal and the other side. In the summer it's usually hot and sultry on this side out by the camp, but walk through that deliciously cool tunnel and you emerge into what seems like heaven. It's shady, usually a little breeze, the river's right there on the left with its sights and sounds, and everything's right with the world. Of course, it all goes back to normal when you come back out.
