Doe River Gorge

The right-of-way around the large retaining wall gets cleaner every year. The form marks on the concrete retaining wall are very visible from this angle. For as bad a shape as some of the concrete on the railroad is today, this example has held up extremely well. Maybe it's because it was some of the early work they did and it was done to last, rather than just upgrading an older logging line.
