USGS Benchmark

This USGS marker was originally put down in about 1934, but says it was reset in 1950. Possibly because it would have been covered in a parking lot repave or something to that effect. Can't remember exactly where this one is, but I think it's in the parking lot of the old ET&WNC Depot in Johnson City. It's number L-52, you can look it up and see. But be prepared, if you get into it, it can become another hobby.
