Toe River Bridge Site at Newland

Looking across the Toe River from the remaining abutment one can see what's left of the opposite abutment. The 1940 flood badly washed away that other side. You can see that the ground over there all looks pretty low, and nothing much has been built on it. The fill that was left after the flood can barely be discerned headed directly for that house in the background.
