Doe River Gorge Group Photo

The "Official" Gorge group photo. From left to right, Tuhr Barnes, Steve Eidt (Phil's co-worker with the speeder), Ric Mattar and his sons, Ken Anderson and Phil Raynes. Oh, and that's me taking the picture. I believe this was on the downgrade side of the large retaining wall.

And speaking of the retaining wall, the large hole in the ballast that has kept any vehicles from crossing the hole at the large retaining wall has now been filled. With the help of the speeders and trailers, some loads of rock have been dumped in the hole, enough to for the ends of some new ties to rest on. It will be filled in later with some smaller ballast sized rock to make it look like the rest of the ROW. They're doing a great job in the Gorge, makes me proud to know some of the people responsible for the improvements.
