Coal Trestle in Downtown Johnson City

How do you build a coal trestle. Well, there's my good old yard stick there, the black marks being the foot marks. Start measuring. This structure on Cherry Street is very similar construction to the historic ET&WNC coaling and transfer trestle in the Johnson City yard. The trestle in this photo was gone in 1999.
