Hampton, Tennessee
One of the prettiest and biggest, if not THE prettiest
and biggest home in Hampton. This house went on the market in
early 2000 for a cool $250,000. The write-up said it dated from
1867 and would make a nice bed & breakfast. Very well maintained
also, considering the condition of some of the houses close by.
Hampton is a very small community, and each year gets closer
to Elizabethton by way of businesses locating along the highway
between the two towns. The Mountain Spring Water Company used
to be next door to this house on the right. It was originally just a spring that
flowed into the Doe River, but was captured and gravity fed
about 5 miles through a 12 inch pipe under the ET&WNC right-of-way
to supply Elizabethton with water. Of course, this has nothing
at all to do with this house, I'm just rambling again. |
