Railroad Superintendent's House at Cranberry
A stained glass window in a church? Is that your final
answer? I'm sorry, that's not correct. This is one of the side
windows in the old superintendent's house up on the hill in Cranberry.
The old house is pretty much falling in now, but it was amazing
to see something this elaborate (not that this is that elaborate)
in a structure like this. And who needs curtains when you have ivy? Seeing this makes me wonder if this window was
original to the house or was put in just to fancy the place
up. I guess it could have been their one concession to luxury. You can
see a double-hung window on the other side of this one,
almost like a storm window. Mighty strange. |
