Steel Thru Truss Bridge in the Doe River Gorge
And this is how you take measurements of a bridge when you're afraid of heights. You get someone
else to do it for you. Ken Anderson holds the tape
measure here while I take a photo and write down the measurement, all from
the safety of the abutment. This is the second steel bridge in the
gorge, the thru girder. This is the spot where you have a deck girder bridge,
a tunnel, and then this bridge...all in the space of about 500 feet.
