Number Plate from ET&WNC Ten-Wheeler Number 9
John Waite clowning around about the weight of the bronze number plate, owned by George Allison. Don't get me wrong, they are heavy, and I think the number 9 plate was bigger than the plates on the subsequent ten-wheelers, numbers 10, 11, 12 and 14. This was shot in the old Tweetsie Museum behind the outdoor covered stage. It was pretty small and isolated, and thankfully was moved out to a new building next to the gift shop. Unfortunately, the new gift shop and museum burned down in 2007, taking with them a lot of historical ET&WNC and Tweetsie Railroad artifacts. |
