Tweetsie Railroad Number 12

Some backhead detail from number 12 at Tweetsie Railroad. The engineer sat on the side of the firebox with the firedoor behind him. There's just enough room between the firebox and the cab window for him to squeeze in. Makes for a hot place to work in the summer, but maybe not so bad in cold weather. 'Course, Tweetsie doesn't run in the winter, but the ET&WNC ran in whatever weather they were presented with.
